FAQ

Dr. Jarod Doster and his wife Dr. Tanya have provided answers below to some of the most common questions they receive about chiropractic. If you have additional questions, please do not hesitate to email or contact us today.

How much does it cost?

Asheville Chiropractor FAQ

There is no charge for the consultation. The doctor will determine whether or not your condition is a chiropractic case. Your cost varies based on the type of treatment and whether or not you have insurance coverage, but typically from $20 to $80 depending on the type of care you need.

Do you take insurance and if so which insurances?

Yes, we accept and are providers for over 80 different insurance companies including, but not limited to: Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Cigna, United health care, Medicare, Medicaid, Crescent, Optum Health, Aetna, Medcost, CoreSource just to mention a few. We will call and personally verify your chiropractic coverage with your insurance company so you know exactly what is covered.

Does the doctor take x-rays?

That depends entirely on your specific condition. Dr. Doster never x-rays a patient unless it is absolutely necessary. However, for serious case, we often take x-rays so Dr. Doster can do his/her very best in finding the exact cause of the patient’s health condition. Dr. Doster can then determine what should be done to fix the problem. At the time of the consultation, for which there is no charge, Dr. Doster will determine whether or not x-rays are necessary in your particular case.

What techniques does the Doctor perform?

Drs. Jarod and Tanya Doster have been trained in fourteen different techniques which allow them more options in customizing a treatment plan to meet your needs. See our page on techniques for a list of the techniques.

Do I have to keep coming?

No. At the beginning of your treatment, Dr. Doster will recommend a treatment plan to achieve the specific goals you want to reach (ie. Pain relief only, corrective care, etc.). Your progress will be measured at regular intervals and when you have reached these goals your care is finished. Obviously, you can stop care at any time and you are always welcome back.

Feel free to contact us at any time if you have any further questions.
